Trust & Safety
Community Guidelines
GossipLine is built for nearby public conversation. These rules define the minimum standard for staying in the room.

How safety works in GossipLine
GossipLine is a public local chat product. Messages are visible to people nearby, so we expect users to keep the conversation safe, lawful, and respectful.
Inside the app, you can report harmful content and block users directly from chat. Blocking hides that user's past and future messages from your view. Reports are saved for manual review.
Keep nearby chat safe
- Do not harass, threaten, bully, or stalk other people.
- Do not post hate speech, violent threats, or content that celebrates harm.
- Do not share sexually explicit content or exploitative material.
- Do not impersonate another person, brand, or authority.
Respect privacy
- Do not post someone else's private information, location details, contact details, or images without consent.
- Do not attempt to identify or track people you meet through GossipLine.
- Do not use the app for doxxing, blackmail, or intimidation.
No spam or manipulation
- Do not flood local chat with repeated messages, scams, or unsolicited promotions.
- Do not use bots, scripts, or other automated systems to post or interact.
- Do not misuse reports or safety tools to target other users in bad faith.
Enforcement
We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts that:
- break these guidelines or our Terms of Service
- create safety risks for other users
- appear to be spam, scams, or coordinated abuse
- involve illegal or exploitative behavior
